FUN at BEATERSVILLE 2011

This past Sunday was the equivalent of CHRISTMAS for the rockabilly/pinup/hotrod industry!!
Beatersville 2011 was a huge, smoldering hot success at Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville KY. People came from all around to check out the awesome cars, bikes, bands... and of course, the lovely bombshell babes that were found EVERYWHERE! It was a BLAST! The music was great and the cars were incredible. Not much compares to a hot Kentucky afternoon, homemade peach icecream, hotrods, hard lemonade and retro cuties!

Hair & Makeup for Beatersville

Hey Gals! Are you going to "Beatersville" in Louisville on Sunday May 29th? Then you need to dress the part! Lots of lovely ladies let out their inner bombshell pinup girl for the occasion! Red lips and pin curls all the way! ESPECIALLY if their competing in the "Miss Beatersville" Contest! If you've got the outfit, then I have you hair and makeup covered... it's actually quite my specialty.

I am taking appointments at Boudoir Louisville's studio which is only TWO BLOCKS from Beatersville!! Doesn't get more convenient than that ladies!

$75 gets you a full pinup hair 'do - 1940's style - and it WILL last all day... maybe even the next. And flawless makeup that will knock men off their feet (eyelashes included!)

Saturday May 28th Boudoir Louisville will be hosting the lovely Go Go Amy from the Pretty Things Peepshow. She will be in our studio teaching her "How to be a Pinup Girl" class! During this class, you will learn how to transform yourself into a BOMBSHELL PINUP GIRL! Amy teaches you posing, hair & makeup as well as a bunch of other pinup girl related stuff. Going to the Drive In!

I have always wanted to do a fantastic shoot at a drive-in movie theater and when the idea was passed by me I was super excited! We have a friend who owned a FANTASTIC cherry red 1953 Buick Special... and it shot FLAMES out the back! Seriously!

It rained all the day of the shoot and I kept my fingers crossed. We made it out to the shoot site and five minutes after we started shooting... the rain came. I tried to keep my curls pinned and cute, but mother nature had her way with me eventually.

The second half of the shoot had to wait until the sun went down because the rain wouldn't let up, but when it did we got some of the greatest shots of the night! I think my favorite might be the one of me throwing the popcorn in the air. It was too much fun. (I was still picking it out of my hair at Spinelli's later that night haha)

Hot Pink Pinup

Hello Cupcakes! I spent the majority of today taking life very seriously at the studio studio. Feathers, fishnets & rhinestones were present as always. The hair was high and so were the heels. Would I have it any other way?


Most of my time was spent styling another client, but it's never all work when you're wearing cherry red lips!! And wouldn't you know that I just HAPPENED to have a hot pink dress with me?

AND matching feathers?! It was clearly no shock that I had fishnets and gloves as well. I mean, what were the odds? It was clearly fate.(hehehe) I HAD to get in some fun on my own on this fabulous new design wall. Isn't it positively smashing?
