Masha Archer Jewelry

In anxious anticipation of the new Sex and the City movie, Peacock Boutique on Frankfort Avenue held a special Truck Show at Avalon recently for jewelry Designer Masha Archer, who's designs were seen in the movie.

Her celebrity clients and collectors include Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters, Beyonce Knowles, Clint Eastwood, Gladys Knight, Calista Flockhart, Ivana Trump, amd Jennifer Love Hewitt just to name a few.

Her necklaces are rich and made with coral, lapis, pearl, jade, amber, bone, African trade beads, silver and turquoise. I had the opportunity to shoot some of the pieces from her collection and they were exquisite! Each one was a complete work of art. Some of them were so big the could even function as a shirt!

Myself and model Nisha Abraham felt like exotic princesses during our shoot with Dennis Ledford. Trying to LOOK like princesses in the excruciating heat became the challenge. Nisha was a champ - wish I could say the same... the heat got the best of me there for a bit. Be sure to check out her amazing set on her facebook page HERE. She rocked it!

Chickens and Pigs, Oh My!

Last week I worked with Jami Guess (J Guess Photography) styling a country/bohemian bridal shoot with the lovely Nisha Abraham. It was the most fabulous, beautiful day EVER! After I finished doing her hair and makeup we headed for the fresh air of Sunny Acres Farm. (Visit Sunny Acre's Facebook!)

There were so many things that we wanted to do and places that we wanted to shoot, but were limited by the ridiculous amount of rain and flooding that had come through a few days prior... so we had to stick to the high grounds. There was an old overgrown red truck in a field that was of great use, beautiful fields of yellow wildflowers, a pig named Emma that followed us everywhere and liked candy, peacocks, a horse named Grandma... and the list goes on....

Nisha was amazing and the first pose she struck in the barn was my favorite of the day I think - Followed by the field of flowers. Even I hopped into a few shots! We both took advantage of the red truck. And of course I couldn't NOT get in a picture with a chicken!! What more high fashion than having a chicken under your arm?! Haha! There was lots of hiking in heels, but overall the day was quite dreamy and we escaped relativity unharmed by insects considering the immense amount of hairspray present! Truly a miracle! I really can't wait to go back and maybe work with some of their beautiful horses next time. Stay tuned for that....
